CLARIFICATION ON QUESTION PAPERS OF FIRST SEMESTER B.TECH DEGREE EXAMINATION, DEC 2016

  1. MA101 CALCULUS

There will be two different sets of question papers.

The question paper for regular students (2016 admission) will be as per the syllabus introduced in 2016.

The question paper for supplementary students ( 2015 admission ) will be as per the syllabus followed in Dec 2015 examination.

The pattern will be same for the two question papers.

  1. Question Papers for ALL OTHER SUBJECTS will be same for regular ( 2016 admission) and supplementary ( 2015 admission) students.
  1. The question paper pattern for BE110 ENGINEERING GRAPHICS will be as per the syllabus introduced in 2016. For quick reference the pattern is given below.

 

Question Paper Pattern: Question Paper shall contain eight questions of 10 marks each out of which five questions are to be answered as explained below. The duration of examination is 3 hours. Part A: Three questions from Modules I & II out of which two are to be answered. Part B: Five questions from Modules III, V & VI out of which three are to be answered. The questions are to be answered in A4 size booklet containing grid/plain sheets supplied by the university. Drawing sheets are not needed. The evaluation of answers shall be based on the correctness of solution, judging the knowledge of student in concepts and principles of Engineering Graphics. Accuracy and neatness shall not be criteria for evaluation.

Please note that duration of the examination is 3 hours. The topics are same as that of the syllabus introduced in 2015 .

  1. The question  paper  pattern  for  BE101-2  INTRODUCTION  TO  MECHANICAL

ENGINEERING SCIENCES AND ME100 BASIC MECHANICAL ENGINEERING will be as per the syllabus introduced in 2016. The pattern is given below for quick reference. The syllabi introduced in 2016 contains less topics than those introduced in 2015 and no additions.

Question Paper Pattern:

Part A: Modules I and II – three questions of 15 marks each – out of which two questions are to be answered.

Part B: Modules III and IV – three questions of 15 marks each – out of which two questions are to be answered.

Part C: Modules V and VI – three questions of 20 marks each – out of which two questions are to be answered.

Each question can have maximum of four subdivisions (a,b,c,d).

  1. For all other subjects the QP pattern will be same as that followed in 2015, but the questions will be as per syllabus introduced in 2016, which have no new topics included, but only some minor topics deleted.
